Detailing Code Compliance
RGS Rebar maintains a data base of different country detailing codes. This contains various parameters required for Rebar Detailing as defined by the code, Such as
a) Bar Properties.
b) Hook values.
c) Bar Lengths as per Industry Practice.
d) Bend Shapes.
At present we support British, US, Indian codes. Other international codes will be added and released every month.
Automatically Generate Bar Bending Schedule, Bar List and Other Reports
Bar lists, Placing lists and Bar Bending Schedule can be generated automatically. It is very simple to create even Partial Takeoff’s.
a) Takeoffs and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) can be created at the click of a mouse.
b) Powerful filter options to select rebar entities
c) Partial Take off possible by selecting element marks.
d) Option to Add / Remove bars from the bar list taken already.
e) Bars taken off can’t be edited unless untaken off.
Preview Rebar Wastage
RGS-REBAR has built-in Rebar optimization module. The Detailer can preview the amount of scrap and reusable Off cut bars, likely to be generated by fabricating the Bars Detailed so far. This gives them an opportunity to adjust the Bar lengths and reduce the Scrap and Off cut bars generation. The Fabricators/Contractors also gets an opportunity to check the possible level of Scrap & Off-cut bars, before even feeding the Bar list into the Production systems. This method of previewing the scrap and the off cut bars and adjusting the detailing for better results will save tremendous amount of money in both site and Shop Fabrication.
Automatic Special Bend Creation
Creating the special bend was never easier. If the shape you have drawn is not found in the database, it is created automatically. It's that easy. All the views, cut lengths etc., are automatically defined. The special bend defined can be copied, mirrored or stretched etc., like any standard bend. The special bend definition can be shared and reused.
Rebar Spread - The Ultimate Auto Detailer
Slabs with complications like varying edges, openings, specific splicing locations, Slab folds with varying slab heights and drop panels etc., can be detailed with in Minutes using this “Auto Detailer” .
This also optimizes the rebar lengths to reduce the number of varying bars, based on the cutting capacity of the shear line. This great production tool can be used to detail even Walls, Pile caps, varying beams etc., Where rebar needs to be spread.
Reusable "Smart Details Library"
RGS-REBAR comes with a pre-defined Details Library for different concrete elements like Footings, Columns, Beams, Walls etc. These details can be inserted in any drawing and modified to suit the requirements. This increases the detailing productivity to a great extent.Detailers can also create their custom library as per their requirements for reuse.The smartness of this library lies in it’s ability to automatically convert the rebar properities, bar mark formats, CAD standards etc., to suit to the current drawing setup.
Automatic Bend Shape Recognition
a) You can draw the bar like a P-line and the bend shape will be automatically detected by RGS-REBAR. The detailers need not search for suitable bend shapes while detailing.
b) This feature helps the detailer to work for any detailing code without worrying for the shape codes. For eg., an American detailer can detail a British job with out worrying about British Standards. Of course RGS-REBAR also supports traditional style of picking up a shape and draw it
Automatic Intelligent Bar Marking System (IBM) for The New York Market
Customization can be done as required. Default settings are provided, for each detailing code based on the industry detailing practices. For U.S market, a standard detailing setup and one New York detailing setup are provided. The New York detailing setup uses the automated "Intelligent Bar Marking System (IBM)" . You can almost control most of the objects and properties of RGS-REBAR like Report, Bar mark, Callout, Label, CAD Standards, Presentation settings, amongst others.
Draw Range
RGS-REBAR provides many range options to calculate the Rebar quantity. The user can click any bar and enter the spacing and the start and end of the range with appropriate covers. The quantity is automatically calculated.

Match Properties
You can match the property of one bar to a selected set of bars. The selected bars will be immediately redrawn automatically to reflect the change. This is a very powerful option that can be used to change bend shapes, Laps, Leg values and many other properties of multiple bars in a single mouse click. Match properties is supported with powerful "Rebar Filters" to enable quick selection of Rebar.

Audit
The Auditing feature of RGS-REBAR is very useful. The following checking can be made against the drawing automatically and the errors are notified
a) Bars without Callout, Quantity or Bar mark.
b) Callout without Bars, Callout placed away from the bar.
c) Views without Bars.
d) Check the maximum length, validity of Bar mark check and automatically repair database.
Flexi View Port Manager
The Placing drawing speaks the quality of work. Presenting the drawing with proper scale is not an easy job. But it is made very much easier with our "Flexi View Port Manager".
a) Paper space based.
b) Synchronized view ports between paper space and model space.
c) Scale can be changed many number of times and all the scaleable rebar objects are resized automatically to suit the current scale selected.
